A Quest of Revenge
03:50
|
|
||
I travel through the cold harsh land I know as home
Searching for the man who has taken my love away
He took her head in front of me and claims to be my kin
This bastard of a lying breed will die by my hand
He will fall
I travel north across the sea in search of revenge
Nothing will stand in my way on this quest
Out from the ship far away I can see
A village which my man has told is home to the bastard
We murder all
I look upon the land to see if he is here
Out in the distance I see a figure flee
I kick in the door to the biggest house
I find that he has left his love to die
I take his love from the house and hold her hostage
My mind flashes back to the moment he took her
I can feel in my bones that I will avenge my love
And make this man feel what I had felt that day
We meet upon a hill and I kill his wife
I let out my battle cry and charge at the man
I put my sword straight through his heart
When he drops down I grab my hammer
I pummel his head into the ground
Nothing but splattered brains are left now

Siege of Paris

Northmen march on foreign land
Swords in hand and song in their hearts
Hundred men have traveled far
To attack the home of the French
We approach upon the gate and prepare the ram
The door falls and we flood the streets
Killing all and raping all we see
We come onto the Christian house of prayer
The doors open and we slaughter all
The French inside all cry
They plead for their lives
It falls upon deaf ears
I take the leaders head
I take the severed head
Drop it on the table
We take the golden cross
And spare no person here
We move onto the gates up the hill
Slay the guards protecting royalty
We fight on through, to the throne room
And lay waste to the French ruler
As we leave we set ablaze the whole town

Mjölnir

|

My scouts have seen in the fields men marching on
He says that they are men of god from another land
They march onto our homes with bad intent
They wish to turn us away from our gods
Men approach through the fields
All men be ready to fight
Swords unsheathed arrows nocked
We will send them to their god
I call up to the gods above for their will
If we die we ask of them to give a good death
We wait for what seems to be hours or maybe more
Ready for when the men approach to fight till death
They ram the door we hold for now
Archers shoot and slay their men
Another hit the door breaks free
They charge in and slay our men
They outnumber us three to one
Many fall and die today
They breach the walls and run throughout
Our town killing all
They kill all of our families
Sparing no man woman or kid
They lay waste in the name of their god
And leave nothing but death
Our brave men in great numbers fall
We are outmatched in every way
Why would the gods leave us to this fate
Left to die or believe in a false god
A darkened cloud appears above all of our heads
The sun is completely covered from sight
The rain starts to fall with a great might
Thunder and lightning crash with great sound
A man at the site of the thunder strike joins the fight
With a great hammer in hand he pummels men in to earth below
With the strength of a god he turns the tide for us
His hammer is the same as the one around all of our necks
The hammer of the god Thor known as Mjolnir
So then the gods have heard our prayers and answered them
To help win this fight against these men

The Soldier of Rome
06:59
|
|
||
I have been left for dead and betrayed by the son of Caesar
When I returned to my farmland home only death could be found
I swore on the grave of my slain family that I would find revenge
Be that revenge comes to true form in this life or the next
My name is Maximus
Father to a murdered son
Husband to a murdered wife
I will have my vengeance
Sold as a slave made to fight for coin
Less than a man in the eyes of all
I fight and kill all of my opponents
Granted am I to entertain Caesar
We are sent to re-enact a battle in the arena
I devise a plan to turn the tides and to win this fight
Caesars son was full of rage when his fight was not won
The crowd adores me and my men because we made a fool of him
We devise a plan to over throw the tyrant
The men I once led in the north are ready
The secret plan of mine will surely work on this day
But as I ready myself I find I have been betrayed
When the plan was to begin I find my servant is dead
Hung by the neck in a tree with the tyrant at his feet
He claims that all of my men are dead and left unburied
A declaration is made that I will battle this man
As I prepare to face this mortal foe of mine
I am stabbed in the chest and am mortally wounded
The battle starts and we are fighting on uneven terms
The crowd is going insane and I make my first swipe
I kill my foe with his own blade through his neck
With my dying breath I order the release of my men
And bring forth the wishes of my emperor
There was a dream of Rome which now shall be realized

Climbing the Fjords
05:47
|
|
||
On foreign soil we wage our fight praising one eyed god
We traveled far through Ægir’s sea with many dragon ships
A westward raid we have begun coming through the night
Among the men is our king Kristoffer the Red
North men attack destroying all killing without remorse
Swinging swords and smashing skulls chanting battle cries
The village burns throughout the night a sign for what’s to come
The Asa men cry out loud it’s only just begun
The warfare builds with many men fighting side by side
We skirmish till the break of dawn with many fallen men
The broken land charred and crisp defiled by our steel
Countless towns and many men shall fall at our knees
Twelve moons pass when we return to the dragon ships
With our prize the men are all ready to return
We load the ships full of gold enough to make us kings
Crowns and cups a foreign cross all to be sold
To east we sail the dragon ships cut through the sea
A storm begins to brew ahead which we cannot avoid
Thunderous waves cover the boats sinking two of them
We press on through the raging sea determined to return
The ravens fly to guide our way back to Asa Bay
We dock our ships prepare for one last test of will
We gather all of our take journey the mountain side
To reach our home we must embark to climb the fjords

Raise your horns and let us feast on this night
Odin rides above our heads on Sleipnir
We rejoice and drink and sing all through the night
A great time is had by all and we drink lots of beer
Everyone is drinking beer and filling their horns
We have gone through many kegs on this night
We praise the gods and have a laugh everyone is drunk
A great time is had by all and we drink lots of beer

The Final Voyage
06:13
|
|
||
We gather on our dragon ships ready to depart
A hundred men or maybe more to begin a conquest
We sail across the stormy seas for what seems like an eternity
Hoping to find new land which we can rule
Our ship cuts through the treacherous water
On we go to discover
New land to settle and to take as our own
We pray that Ægir grants us passage
To our right one of the ships begins to fall to the sea
We hear the screams of those on board crying out for help
Nothing can be done for them their fate is sealed
The seas have become vicious and a storm has begun
Four ships now remain from what was twenty
The sea has claimed her victory over our clan
The sky cannot be seen at all nothing but the dark
My one ship is all that’s left I know my time has come
Many men fall overboard and others try to swim
They are fools for they don’t see nothing can be done
The gods have turned their backs on us they’ve left us to die
I am all that’s left on board our last dragon ship
Far away I hear a sound a great and thunderous crash
The sounds of swords and hammers clash and many battle cries
But all around I cannot see land anywhere in sight
The sea begins to swallow me as I die alone
With the little strength I have I think of my kin
And how they will never know what has happened here
My son who is only five years old will never be
around for me to hold in my arms ever again
With my final thought I curse the gods up above
Why would the let us die when we praised all them
The icy water fills my lungs and I begin to sink
My life has been cut too short never to be found

Völuspá
10:46
|
|
||
The Vala had once foretold the coming of an age
Where brother fights his own blood and lines end disgraced
An age when the gods will turn their backs on mankind
And all will end with blood and bones scattered across the land
Fimbulvetr has come and gone a sign of the end
The gods will fight all shall die in darkness we descend
Then the wolf shall swallow whole the sun and the moon
And all worlds will fall into the ever darkened nights
The skies will be set ablaze the only sight to see
And then begins as prophesied the war to end all wars
The giants march on to the gates of Asgard
All of those in hall up high ready to defend
The battle claims the life of all
Gods and men lie on the ground
The bloodshed can be heard and seen
From the worlds below
The einherjar are deep in fight
Vígríðr is stained in blood
The giants are pushing forth
To the ends of the earth
---------------------------------------------------
The sun turns black, earth sinks in the sea
The hot stars down from heaven are whirled
Fierce grows the steam and the life feeding flame
Till fire leaps high about the heavens itself
Now Garm howls loud before Gnipahellir
The fetters will burst and the wolf run free
Much do I know and more can see
Of the fate of the gods the mighty in fight
---------------------------------------------------
The warfare starts to take its toll
Fall the gods from either side
With a crashing sound above
The heavens begin to fall
The heavens begin to fall
Odin is swallowed whole by the wolf Fenrir
Thor and the great serpent fight to the end
Freyr wages war with the Jötunn Surtr
Surtr swings the mighty sword and Freyr is no more
The sun turns black and then the earths sink into the sea
The heavens are engulfed with flames lighting up the sky
There are no stars to be seen in this final night
All has come as foretold nothing will remain
The gods are dead the worlds destroyed but somehow there is hope
The earth begins to rise out from the oceans it was in
Now the sun returns to the sky overhead
Light shines through out the land illuminating
The earth is now covered in grass and in trees
A rebirth has happened here in the aftermath
The gods reborn now convene and discuss this earth
The hall of gold reappears and is now restored
Baldr has been reborn and he looks to the sky
And goes to the gods above in their golden hall
---------------------------------------------------
And thus comes to pass
The saga foretold by the ancient seers
Who see all that is, was, and is to be
The Twilight of the Gods
The end of days
The rebirth of the world
And the gods that rule over it
Völuspá
